I have this thing with watching Youtube videos about what people have. What’s in my bag, What’s in my fridge? What’s in my basement (wait, what?). Currently I have been loving the What’s on my iPhone ones where people show off their apps. I decided to do my own about my top favorite apps on my phone! These don’t include the usual Instagram, Pinterest, Pandora, etc. These are a given for me. A necessity, really. Note: I am not sponsored by any of these apps, these are genuinely my favorites.
1. Down Dog
If you are a fan of yoga or want to get into it, I SERIOUSLY recommend this app! It’s mostly free, but you can be a Pro subscriber for $7.99/mo or $49.99/yr. If you think about how often you’d do it, it could either be a really good deal or a poor one. I personally use the free version currently, but might eventually switch to the Pro to get better features like increasing the flow speed. You can choose from four different playlists for background music, your pace, sequence type, level, and length. The length is the best part for me because I don’t always have time to do a full 60 minute flow, but always have time for a quick 20 minute! They go as low at 10 minutes and everybody got time for dat. Her voice is super soothing and the images of each pose are super helpful!
2. Rain Sound
I need this app every single night to go to sleep. During the winter time, we don’t have an AC unit so the room is dead quiet. I just CAN’T sleep in dead silence. Is it possible for silence to be loud? This is by far the most realistic sounding rain sound I have found. It’s super simple to manage and the little rain drops are adorable. You can choose from heavy, light, or hood as your rain. Hood being rain hitting the hood of an object which I surprisingly love. You can also choose the timer up to 60 minutes, which is where I put it. That’s it! Simple, yet I absolutely love using it every single night. Is there anything more relaxing than the sound of rain?
I read once that in a study, participants were more productive when listening to the sounds of a coffee shop than any other method (just regular music, I guess). I tend to have issues staying focused when needed and that’s where this app comes in! Basically it plays a track of a coffee shop noise such as talking, silverware, etc. You can choose from Morning Murmur, Lunchtime Lounge, and University Undertones. I personally always use Morning Murmur. You can set the volume of it AND the best part is that you can play it while listening to your regular music. I usually play my favorite station on Pandora: Mindy Gledhill Radio and it works amazingly! It makes me feel like I’m at an actual coffee shop and my productivity increases.
I had this app on my phone for a long time before I finally had a reason to use it and once I did, I was hooked! It’s SO easy to either pay or request money from any of your friends or family. You put your bank account information and you can use it to quickly pay someone for lunch or an event you’re both going to. You can also make your post public or private. The ones shown above are not from my personal feed, these are from the explore section of the app. Not sure why they’d have this anyways.
I have already posted a blog about this particular app (Click here to see how I edit my photos!) but considering how often I use it I had to put it on the list. This is the only app I use to edit my photos on Instagram because it’s easy and has tons of features for you to play with. I think my favorite feature it has is the “Last edits” one. As a blogger, I have a ton of photos in the same location and pose and when I edit one photo I can use the same edits on the other photos to cut my editing time in half! This app is also perfect at making the colors in your shots POP. Trust me, I can guarantee once you use this app, you’re going to want to delete all of your other photo editing apps!
Do you guys use any of these? If not, do any of them look like something you’d enjoy? If you do end up downloading one of these, let me know what you think of them!
